Memories
By Carol

Clip to ScrapBook
I remember when I was student teaching and someone from the college was sent to observe a lesson. It seemed to me to be a decent lesson, not an excellent one but for one in my position, a solid lesson.

The observer tore
me to pieces but the interesting thing was that she did not like techniques that I had adopted from my Supervising Teacher. He happened to be a master teacher and was known all over for his methodology. Everyone thought I was the luckiest to be in his class and in fact, I was.

I spoke to him afterwards and he negated most of the criticism that I had gotten but it still was not easy to

swallow. I can tell you now, it is simply a memory, and does not affect me at all. This should happen with you also. Just give it time.

Your lesson sounded great to me and if you were not perfect, join the crowd.

Be positive and don't let this unprofessional person get to you. Lots of luck this year.
