WOW !!!

It is Sunday and I didn't get a chance to read responses until today. The replies were so great!! Friday was our first day to go without recess and instead of staying inside, we took a little walk in a line outside. It| wasn't recess but it was nice to leave our room, since we are in a room with no windows. The kids and I really felt it the rest of the day, everyone was much more talkative, and kept asking when lunch was and the end of the day. I will do the suggestions some gave of movement with spelling,etc. The kids do still get P.E. everyday, I am not sure if I said that on the first post, but | |
that is very structured and not until 2:00 in the afternoon. We are gonna try to stick it out. My co-workers are complaining, but not to her face, she is our "new" principal, and has experience in junior high and high school only. We are a PreK-5th grade campus. Even the kinder lost recess!! Sad.
