Patriotism By Donna

First of all, our sincere thoughts and prayers are with all who were directly affected by this horrible tragedy. Especially, your class who actually witnessed this awful event. I teach 4th grade and my students are really| wanting to help and show their compassion to the rest of the country. We have been doing patriotic activities, for instance, writing about "Being Proud to be an American", creating flags, wearing red, blue, white, and talking about words like freedom, patriotism, etc. Even though we are miles away from New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania (We live in Texas) it's been hard on the kids. | | They want to help in anyway possible, so if there is anything we can do, please let me know. I know they came up with an idea of sending teddy bears with cards on them to the children of New York, so maybe we can get in contact with each other and we can send them to your class. Please, please let our students help your students! Please email with your response. (DTOD1125@AOL.COM)
