A story I use with my first graders is Finding The Green Stone by Alice Walker (see Amazon.com) and I give each of my students a green stone to keep to remind them to be loving and caring. The stones I used were really the green colored discs that you use in aquariums or indoor water falls. Reasonably priced at Wal-Mart
