    resignation - to G.M.

I simply left it off of my resume. Only one person thought to ask me about the gap on my resume. Strange experience: I accidentally went to interview with a principal who now had my principal at that school as assistant principal. She asked me why I left my time with him off of my transcript. I told her that I didn't mention anything less than one semester on my transcript. Needless to say, I didn't get the job with her. (Surprise!) That had to go down as my most uncomfortable interview ever. I wondered why she even bothered to invite me in for an interview? So she could humiliate me?

I have a good job now, with a wonderful staff and principal. Thankfully, not all schools are as bad as the one I described.

My advice to you: Don't say ANYTHING about the resignation. I would even leave this off of your transcript. This just didn't work out for you, and I don't think you have to stumble over this in an interview. You may be surprised to find that nobody asks you about it. If it's not on your resume, they won't know that you have resigned after 5 months.
