On Mondays the children write the words; Tuesday they put them in alphabetical order; Wednesday they make them into bubble letters; Thursday they do "build a word" ex. the they would write t--th--the. I also have them handwrite the words and then you could also use different colours to highlight special parts of the word ex. copy the word in pencil highlighting the vowels in red.
