I also teach third grade and I do a few things for open house:
1. I have the students write their names length wise on a piece of tag board. For each letter they must write an adjective that describes themselves. Then they illustrate the adjective.
2. I have them write a bio poem. If you are interested email me and I will foward you the form for it.
