If your principal came to you and offered you this position GO FOR IT! You may not be given this opportunity again and you do not want to kick yourself in the butt for not having jumped at the chance when you could. Does it mean leaving an already established class? Are you really attached and loving this group and the grade level? That might sway you but if you love the kids but are not crazy about the grade, grab the opportunity while it is there. It will be hard the first year wherever you are but follow your heart!
