At the beginning of each year my students decorate an "art portfolio". I use the largest size of tagboard folded in half and stapled on the sides. The kids decorate them with favorite drawings. Throughout the year whenever we do any type of artwork related to holidays, lessons or literature, if gets filed in the portfolios after it comes down off the walls. Then at Open House we put the portfolios out to show our guests and have a nice collection to take home. The parents seem to appreciate having it all together. Works for me!
