Well, I taught in a rural school as a sped teacher last year and made 26,000...now that I only have 7 fifth graders in a regular ed setting...my salary is pretty lame 20,600, but I can tell you it's worth the pay cut...even though my hubby and I are looking into second jobs. I love what I do and the small classes sizes makes life so nice. I can't imagine those with 25 kids or more!
