mystery objects
By KT

Clip to ScrapBook
Maybe more historical or critical thinking than actual mystery, but I once did something I called "Mystery Objects". I brought in old or unusual objects, tools, etc. and had the students write what they thought its use or purpose was. Later we discussed the guesses and actual uses. They seemed to enjoy it. I used it as a freetime activity when other work was finished and rotated objects over several weeks. It could be a center.
