place value rap song

Have you ever heard of the CD "Rockin' the Standards". Just search engine it. I love it! It is filled with rock-type songs that sing math standards. My class sings the "Place Value Rap" everyday. I created little signs with the place value digit name and have volunteers hold up the sign when we sing that place value name. It has a very catching tune to sing from ones to hundred billions.
My kiddos are constantly asking to sing it. Check out the website. It was well work the cost - and my kiddos are looking forward to more songs for future skills.
My family teased me about 4th graders and singing (I just moved up from 11 years in 1st - where I constantly sang Dr. Jean songs with my kiddos). So, I was a little hesitant to use songs, but my 4th graders love it!
