synonyms/antonyms
By KT

Clip to ScrapBook
Nothing fancy, but I sometimes will put words on 3x5 cards so I have matching pairs. Then I randomly pass them out to the kids and they move around the room and try to find a partner with a matching synonym, antonym, rhyming word, compound words, etc, etc. It is quick and easy and the kids like to get out of their seats. Later I might put all the cards at a center with a pocket chart for them to sort or in a big envelope to sort at their desk or on the rug.
