too many papers to correct
By Carolyn

Clip to ScrapBook
It sounds as if you are trying to correct EVERYTHING the kids do. While I collect everything the students do, including homework and classwork, I only grade quizzes, tests, and projects. I quickly check homework and classwork and offer a comment plus the letter E (excellent), S (satisfactory), or N (needs improvement). An I is given for any work which is incomplete. I whiz through the papers in one evening this way. I also only post to my gradebook tests, quizzes, and projects. I note on a log sheet at the time the homework is checked who doesn't have that done. You can go insane if you try to correct everything.
