venting in the lunchroom

I find myself agreeing with Sue. One reason we vent is so that we can find out if others are having the same problems we are: "Boy, was your class as wild as mine was today?" Or: Did you have as many problems with Johnny last year as I am having now?" It really does help to know that you are not alone with your problems. Having others to complain to helps you feel better and relieve your tensions about certain situations. Also, this may be your only contact all day with adults. Amazing how we gravitate toward each other every opportunity we get, even if it's in the cafeteria.
