Lunch
By Kim

Clip to ScrapBook
This is the method we use for "crowd control" during lunch. The children are told that they must eat only (NO talking) for the first 15 minutes of the lunch period. If a child talks, they receive a card each time which means they lose 5 minutes of their recess time and spend it standing on the sidewalk. (Each card = five minutes.) I'm always sure to keep a few in my hand as I patrol the cafeteria--The power of suggestion/reminding works well! As far as clean up, that responsibility is rotated among students. Good luck!

P.S. I envy those of you who have duty free lunch!
