Avoiding sickness
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
There has already been quite a few good ideas. I use the antibacterial gel myself. My classroom also does not have a sink nor a bathroom.

One of the most important things is to get enough rest. I only seem to get sick
when I let myself get run down and overtired. I know it's hard when you are a first year teacher - but... it's better to ensure you are in bed at a decent hour and hopefully stay healthier than to stay up late doing work and being sick all the time.

I don't know about your area, but in Canada many of us get a flu shot in the the Fall. I started a few years back and even if I do get

a flu bug it is usually a lot milder than for those who didn't get the vaccination. This is usually sometime in October.

Teach your students good hygiene - have them wash their hands several times a day.
