grandparent day
By Teacher5yrs

Clip to ScrapBook
We are doing a "cookies with Grandma" in my room this year, I have never done this, I read about it in a book, so I hope it turns out okay. I sent a letter out to the grandparents asking them to join us for a cookie exchange,
they are to bring their favorite cookies along with the recipe, we are gonna try all the cookies and then I am going to type the cookie recipes and print them out for a book of our grandma's cookies to give to each child. We are going to make a grandparents day card, ex. "I think you're really cool because . . ." and on the next page, "my favorite food you cook me is" . . . and lastly,
" the most fun thing to do at your house is" . . ., I have also invited them to come during lunch to eat with their grandchild, then back to the room for cookies and cards and i am going to read a book outloud about grandparents and have each child introduce their grandparents.
