classroom management
By student teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
I am student teaching this semester and have seen many types of classroom management techniques. One teacher I have observed uses three different techniques in her classroom. She implements an individual behavior system,
a whole class system and a small group system. For the individual system, each child gets their own animal posted on a bulletin board. Each students animal has six identical animals on a ring, but each animal is a different color. If they are inappropriate, they have to "change their color" The students have different consequences for each color change. This system is daily. The next day,
the students are back to the original color. The small group system is simply shapes taped to their small group tables and each group gets points through the week. The table with the most points gets a prize at the end of the week. The whole class system works almost the same way except the whole class recieves points. When they get to ten points, they get extra recess. I like the use of the three systems. Hope this helps!!!
