last year I taught mealworms and the kids LOVED IT!! These small insects start out as worms, change to a pupa and then a beetle!! If you have a powerful magnifying glass, you can also see some of the eggs! I used the standard clear science terarium container and poured ground oatmeal at the bottom. You can purchase mealworms at any pet supply store. Let me know how you make out!
