fighting colds
By Chantal

Clip to ScrapBook
All of the comments mentioned above make sense but one of the most important things you need to do is to wash YOUR own hands ALL THE TIME! I was very sick one year and realized that I had not been washing my hands enough(even
though I thought I was quite often) It is not just when kids put their hands in their mouthes, but we put pencils, paper clips, snacks, and so on in our own. Remember that rubbing your nose or eyes can pass those cold "bugs" into your system.
You're really stuck by the fact that there is no sink in your room. I thought all primary classes had a sink, even if there is no bathroom.
You can also use the baby wipes in between trips to the bathroom. There is no way to eradicate all the bacteria; it is on pencils, manipulatives, etc..... and you could turn yourself into an obsessive compulsive germhound trying to keep eveything clean! Plus now studies are showing that too much of the anti-bacterial products tends to kill off the good bacteria as well and put our immune systems at a greater risk. Sorry, that isn't a very upbeat ending.
Good luck and stay well!
