5th grade homework

My school believes that they should have anywhere from 1/2 to 1 hour of homework a night. Many of us on the team however, plan to go with the lower end, and none on Fridays unless they have a project that they can work on over the weekend. We also have a school-wide mandatory reading requirment. Ours is 100 minutes a week, or 20 minutes 5 nights a week. My problem now is figuring out what is 30 minutes to an hours worth!!!
