Reading

Clip to ScrapBook
If you're concerned about your son reading books over his head, try books on tape. Recorded Books is the best co. by far, and I believe they now do rentals. If that's too much $ or hassle, try shared reading w/ him. You supply the voice support as he tackles more challenging text. He reads along, while you have to do the decoding.

Paulsen books are definitely a great choice. Mr. Tucket, Harris and Me and so many more great titles. I know a 4th grader who LOVES Captain Underpants books. Sure, not my first choice, but he now looks forward to SSR time.
