class book
By KT

Clip to ScrapBook
A simple class book my 3rd graders enjoy is a spin off from James Howe's book "I Wish I
Were a Butterfly". After reading and discussing the book they are asked to think about what animal they would like to be and why. I then give them a piece of paper with lines for sentences at the bottom and a framed rectangle at the top for a full color illustration. Then simply bind the pages into a book form and they enjoy reading each other's opinions. The same format can be used for many books that inspire a connection.
