irresponsible kids
By CLF

Clip to ScrapBook
It has been my experience in 3rd grade that there are usually several kids in each class that are irresponsible about turning in work no matter what system you have in place. Contacting parents, homework notes, checklists are all good suggestions. However, until they learn to be accountable perhaps the time frame needs to be shortened and consequences more immediate. I don't know what grade you have, but I would perhaps have those chronic kids show you their work before they go to recess, and if it is not complete they stay in to do it. Hopefully, they will then start using their time more wisely. Then they do not have the opportunity to put it in the desk unfinished.
