Teaching values and morals
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi all, there is a book by William Bennett that has a compilation of stories on values and morals, all levels and all types...I have it at school, I can get the title if you're interested.
I just wanted to ask SRW what
she thought about Hooray for Wodney Wat...it was recommended by my librarian for a workshop for kids on bullies and victims. I read it, and the kids liked it, but after the fact thought the ending didn't really empower the kids to resolve the problem in a realistic way. Yes, he stood up to her, but I just thought it should have a different conclusion...what do you think?
Oh, there
is also a book for adults titled 'Bullies and Victims' which is really written for parents to help their children. It does have suggested book titles for read alouds as well. If you want specifics on either book, please post again or email. The bullies and victims stuff we did at the beginning of the year has had a wonderful effect on our classroom learning community!!! ;-D
