Room decor
By Kathleen

Clip to ScrapBook
Writing is a perfect subject for room decorating! Have the students create covers for the stories they write. For example, if the students are assigned an animal to write about, they may make a cover in the shape of that animal. (Or use a computer image....)The story itself can be put on the "back" which is just a cut out copy of the front. Then it's like a book- any size is possible. Tiny to the size of the large posterboard pieces. Then use these to hang throughout the room, or put on the walls. Parents will love it when they come to conferneces
Have the students brainstorm the subject to write about. Then narrow it down. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY LIKE TO WRITE ABOUT!
