Try This
By S. E.

Clip to ScrapBook
You have terrific suggestions listed here. My suggestion is for being (or feeling more organized).

Try this advice given by a seasoned teacher during the first weeks of school. Each afternoon, after students go home,
look at your plans for that day. Take a highlighter and highlight the things you accomplished during the day. This will give you a visual representation of all that you did.

Next, make a detailed list of EVERYTHING you need to do for the next day. Be as specific as needed. For example: Copy rubrics for writing assignment, cover pages 56-59 in math text, assign p. 59 in math, rotate

choice center sign up sheets, etc. At the end of the day, reflect on the items you covered well and highlight them. Any items you didn't complete to your satisfaction should go on the next day's list.

This might seem time-comsuming, but it is one of the best pieces of advice that has been given to me from an experienced teacher. Marking the items I completed gives me a sense of satisfaction, even if I don't feel like I accomplished a lot. After a while, you will begin to list these things in your plan book and you won't need to make a separate list.

Regular use of these lists will make a tremendous difference in your peace of mind and your organization!
