Hi all,
One of the best books for establishing and maintaining routines for literacy is Guiding Readers and Writers GL 3-6 by Fountas and Pinnell. This book addresses Language and Word Study, Readers Workshop and Writers Workshop. There are SO many wonderfully authentic learning opportunities, I still haven't been able to squeeze everything in. It addresses a literacy block from management, scheduling, tasks, suggested minilessons, forms, classroom vignettes, book lists, etc. One of the most useful professional books I've read lately...Best of luck! ;-D
