Scarecrow
By Krissy

Clip to ScrapBook
I think it might be neat to build one as a class and have the children donate the old shirt, pants, and hat. You could stuff it with newspaper. All of the kids could get in on the crunching and stuffing of the paper...(I realize the newspaper ink will be a bit messy, but whoever said having fun wasn't messy!)Then, you could have a contest to name him and have the children write a story about how he came to life! It would be a neat classroom book! I think it is a great idea. For older children, they could even write character descriptions about what type of person he would be.
