Ok so I'll play devil's advocate....so what if he doesn't stay seated? Is he working? If he's up but working don't sweat it. If he's not working and keeping others from working that's a problem. I don't care if my students sit, stand or kneel at their desk as long as they're working. I know I can't stay seated all day or even for as long as most teachers require a student to sit so my policy is as long as work is being done I don't sweat it. However, just because it doesn't drive me crazy that my kids work in what ever position it may not work for you.
