This is just my 2nd year in 5th grade after having taught 1st for several years. I keep reworking things so I know I'll be paring down my binders, but this is what I've got for now.

Lesson Plan - This stays at school per admin instructions. The dividers are:
*Lesson Plans - includes seating charts, ways I do routine things, etc.
    *Calendar, schedules, duties
*Technology - hand-outs with info I consult regularly, student passwords for Study Island
*Quotes - I put one on the board each board
*Staff - email, home addys, etc.

Binder each for Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science. These I keep at home. They have dividers for:
    *state Standards, Benchmarks, Indicators
    *district pacing guides
    *some teaching ideas

Binder for Testing and Data. Also kept at home. These will be combined. I work up spreadsheets that show last year's testing info on the kids and add this year's data as available.

Binder for Classroom Activities. Also at home. I have dividers for:
    *computers
    *centers
    *SmartBoard
    *Study Island
    *fluency, vocab, Readers Threatre

I'm also working on a Substitute Teacher binder that I can leave on my desk instead of the Lesson Plan binder listed above.

I feel that the longer I teach 5th graders, the more I will rework my binders. However, as I do learn this grade level curriculum and this position, these binders really help keep me organized.
