bad start
By CLF

Clip to ScrapBook
I'm sorry you had such a bad start and am ashamed of the veteran teachers who failed to remember when they were where you are now. Besides, where is their common courtesy?? You have received excellent advice and I hope you
will continue..I sense that your heart is in the right place for the kids when you say the best part was that you had a good day with your kids...isn't that the most important part? Establishing a relationship with your students is a priority at the beginning. Plan enjoyable activities for all of you while you are getting to know each other and the routines and the "proper" lessons will
fall into place very soon. One thing I have learned over the years is to slow down at the beginning and not feel that I have to rush through the curriculum. Things will get better!
