The next day after writing this post I had decided that no way no how was I going to give up! As far as a mentor goes I do have one, but she is best friends with the first grade teacher that we are having problems with. So
there is no help from that corner either. I have just stayed away from the teacher that is causing problems and doing the best I can to figure things out on my own. I know it is going to be a long and tuff year, but then I will just find a school where I feel comfortable. I love my kids and the only way I would quite is if I am not teaching them what they need to know. Reading each of

your responses has helped me realize that hanging in is what I need to do. I thank all of you for your advice and words of encouragement it has truly helped!! This weekend I will begin to write lesson plans. I am using one from another school. Thanks so much for being there for me. Rox
