I went back to school to finish my 4-year degree. This is my 4th year teaching (I just turned 41). I was a paraprofessional before that. Our state allows subbing without a teaching degree. You could try that first if you're not sure. Not that subbing is exactly like teaching, but even with the unique demands of subbing, I knew I wanted to teach. I worked full time and went to school full time. My family was very supportive and took on a ton of responsibility. We are ALL happy now. It was definitely worth the sacrifices. Good luck.
