Clip to ScrapBook
VIDEO: Make a short video that can be shown over and over.
Include each student answering a question like, what are they
most excited about this year... Parents could then watch to see
their child.

POWERPOINT
PRESENTATION: Create a short presentation that
students and parents could view together. It could include
school year information, facts about the teacher, and things to
look forward to.

MUSIC: Play a little soft music in the background to welcome
people into your room.

DESCRIPTIONS: Have each child write a description of his/herself
without including their name.

Post them on a bulletin board and
have parents read them to try to "find" their own child.

BACK TO SCHOOL SNACK-MIX: Serve up back to school snack mix.
Each item in the mix has a different meaning (ie. pretzels...be
flexible) You can find the recipe at my site under "Useful sites
for teachers" near the bottom.
