    Amistad is too graphic

    I teach 4th and wanted to show pieces of Amistad to my kids, specifically the part where he was captured and on the slave ship. But, the images were too graphic - violence and nudity.

    I found primary source documents from the Library of Congress and used instead. We also did a simulation of a trade route that involved slave trade.
