popsicle sticks
By Kathie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi. I have used popsicles sticks for spelling activites (word making), etc. Write a letter of the alphabet on each one, do vowels in on color and the consonants in another. You can also put the names of your students on them, put them in a cup and when doing large group instruction, pull one out after asking a question. This is one way to be sure that your not continually asking the same students for the answer and might help keep the kids more attentive because they never know which name is going to be pulled.
