Things are going SOO much better. I still have those that are trying me.. But other than that, I have left smiling the last few days! The Principal has been in and out of my room constantly observing. Today she told me that
she likes what she sees happening in my class. Our school rep to the school board stopped by because he was told that he HAD to see me. I was confused and he said that he has heard the buzz about the new science teacher that everyone is talking about. That made me feel good.
I am making all of my students take a lab safety test and it is pass or fail. No make up. If you pass, you get

a lab license. If you don't, you don't get to go to lab the entire year. A teacher came up and said.. alright what's this license thing you are doing? I explained and she laughed.. I was just wondering what all the commotion was about.. the students all complained to her that she couldn't posiibly have her test on the same day as my test because they just HAD to pass my test!
YEA.. I got them! They want to do it. As you can see, I had a GREAT day today..
I thought that I chose the right place to teach at when I accepted the position.. Now I know.. this is the place for me!
