    No I don't give consequences

I don't know that I have any advice, but I do not give consequences for student problems in specials. I watched a teammate of mine try to fix the problem for our art teacher. It did not go well and was a waste of everyone's time. The specials teacher needs to handle their management however they wish, as long as it doesn't impact on me or my teaching time.
The new teacher should have a mentor, yes? Would this be a resource for your music teacher...perhaps the music teacher needs to observe other music teachers in your system that do have good management skills. This is a tough area in which to maintain good classroom management.
