It's interesting how in kdg we teach kids to share, yet when we grow up, sharing gets thrown out the door. Sharing is a good thing, especially if you all are in the same grade. It keeps what's taught in both classrooms| consistent. Obviously she sees your ideas as good. You should be happy and proud that your ideas are good enough that someone else wants to use them. So, I wouldn't get upset about it. Instead, since she wants to use your ideas, you guys should try and make everything a team effort. Know what I mean? Have you gone by her classroom to get ideas that could be helpful for you? Maybe | | this could be the start of a good thing for both of you in which you share things and support each other. In order for that to happen, you two definitely need to get together and talk. Ever thought of that? Also, you discussed getting praise from the principal. Who are you teaching for? The praise of the principal or for the benefit of the students. If you two collaborated, you could easily and better educate your students. And you know what? That's when you'll get praise from the principal, where they'll say...wow look how well these two work together. My advice, don't get mad. Instead, find the positive. Remember that song "You've got accentuate the positive. Eliminate the negative and don't mess with Mr. Inbetween." Just something to think about.
