Our school has three cups sitting on top of each other on each table
First cup is Green --- Indoor Voices
Middle cup is yellow --- Whisper
Bottom Cup is Red --- Silent lunch

As the teacher rotates and has already
given one warning to a certin table the green cup is taken off. The yellow cup is then exposed which stands for whisper only. If they can stay at a whisper for awhile they might be able to regain their green cup. If they can't the yellow cup is taken off exposing the red cup which means silent lunch and no talking. If someone proceeds to talk they are put at a seperate table for silent

lunch that day and the next day.

another thing we do is...
For the last five minutes of lunch we have silent lunch with no talking. This helps those children that talk so much at lunch that they just don't eat and it also give time for a nice quiet clean up.
