"class pets"
By Tabitha

Clip to ScrapBook
I have a Guinea Pig for a class pet. I don't let my students take him home at all. He comes home with me on the holidays and summer vacation. Yes, they can cause allergies and they do have a tendency to stink. I change the
bedding once a week and he doesn't stink at all. You can bath the Guinea Pig in a warm water and middle shampoo and then blow dry them on a cool to warm setting. But be very careful because they can catch cold and die. There is a bedding out at Petco that is processed paper. It is gray and feels like cardboard egg cartons. The Guinea Pigs love it and they tend to not stink. You also have
to be careful about biting. Mine will nip you if you stick you finger or hand near his mouth. So I have to make sure my students know that from the start. They all love him! I have had him now for three years and each year he gets bigger and makes alot of noise but my students love him to much to let me keep him home. This year I think we just might get a frog or a fish not sure what I will add just yet.
