You might think you do not have time to note the positives. But think about how much time you burn thinking about the negatives! Try it for a few weeks and experience the results. At first, it might be frustrating, but force yourself to do it. It gets easier. (No, I didn't do this while teaching; I thought I didn't have time. However, I do it now; it has helped me adjust my attitude and safe my sanity.) If you ever contemplate quitting, PLEASE e-mail me first. I will tell you, in detail, how it feels to quit. You think you are miserable now; well, you haven't experienced real misery until you walk away from your classroom. (Before I walked, I got my good friend to take over my class; but that didn't alleviate all the emotions I have lived with since then.) Again, if you ever consider quitting, do yourself a big favor and e-mail me. Hang in there and follow their adivce. Come back to the board as needed. They are here to help! Sincerely, G.M
