Read-aloud
By Crystal

Clip to ScrapBook
I read the book and found it funny, as well as sad. I read it out aloud to my class and they loved it. They didn't really laugh at bradley, they were laughing at the style the author used. For example, when the author
always said, last seat last row, the students found the repition funny. The long list of things to talk about instead of homework, the children laughed at. I also think that some children related to bradley, and found some situations familiar. For example, the way he talks with his toys, I use to do that, and laughed because it was familiar to me. It could have also been the way I read
it. I usually really ham it up during my read-alouds. I can see your points though, where some parts of the book, you should be feeling sympathy, not humor. I hope this helps.
