Gettysburg
By Carolyn

Clip to ScrapBook
Lucky you! You get to go to Gettysburg! When I lived in PA, we went there quite regularly. Both of my kids took field trips there. The last time I went, it was April and really quite beautiful.

How about trying an enactment of the battle? Maybe you could get your kids together in cooperative groups and have them work on a posterboard to depict the locations of important sites, including the high water mark, etc. Maybe you could have a kid dress up like Abe Lincoln and give the Gettysburg address! Have fun and let us know how it goes!

P. S. Don't forget about our Social Studies board. This would be a great place to pose this question.
