Spelling Activities

I don't teach sp. ed. but I do have alot of students who struggle learning their words. I came up with centers for them. They are practicing the words but having fun, too. They are highly tactile. Here are a few:
3 color words- use 3 crayons and write word and then trace with other colors (get a rainbow or shadow effect)
Clip it- clothes pins with letters on them- clip to a paint stick
pipe cleaners to form into letters
stamps to stamp out words
write words in glue, sprinkle with dry jello- scratch and sniff words
magnetic letters
