behavior management
By carolyn

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach grade four and when I have individual students with behavior problems I establish an individual contract with them and their parents.
Each day the student can earn up to ten points. The expected behavior is outline ahead of time and at the end of the day (sometimes more frequently if necessary) we go over the day and the kind of behavior that was exhibited. If they earn a certain number of points in the course of a week, the parent provides some kind of reward. It can be as simple as 1 to 1 time with the parent on the weekend.
