textbooks

My team rarely uses the textbooks in any subject. I've opened a textbook (We technically have one for each subject) once the entire year so far (for science one day). Our team returned the reading textbooks, so we don't even have those. Science I might crack open a few times the rest of the year as it's good for a couple units. We order a newspaper called Virginia Studies Weekly that acts as our social studies textbook. I do guided reading and so use books that meet each groups' needs rather than the text book. Our math book isn't great, so I use other resources for that. One teacher on our team uses the books more, but the rest of us don't.
