Back to your original request...the only immediate
difference I might make is in the choice of read aloud books...maybe Marvin Redpost instead of Junie B. Jones. Check your class library to see that you have books with boy and girl characters. In 3rd grade I have found "boy" characters to be under represented especially in early chapter books. The "Magic Treehouse" series are good. Boys also seem to really like riddles at that age too...I haven't noticed it so much in girls. You may want to do something with riddles. Have fun...should be a memorable year!
